We Welcome Georgie Bell to the Festival

By Whisky Live Staff 29-10-2018

Georgie Bell, the Global Malts Ambassador for Bacardi will be attending the festival for the first time and we cannot wait – rumour has it that she will be tasting Craigellachie in her three Master Classes!

A desire for a deeper understanding inspired Georgie to enrol herself in a diploma in distillation at the Institute of Brewing and Distilling. She went on to achieve the highest mark globally, prompting The Worshipful Company of Distillers to grant their International Award. Following this highly notable achievement, Bell was then accepted into the exclusive and secretive society of The Worshipful Company of Distillers.

With an ambition to share her passion with others, Georgie began educating through her various brand ambassador roles, starting at the Scotch Malt Whisky Society before moving to her former position with Mortlach.

Fully immersing herself within the whisky industry, Georgie’s commitment and dedication to Scotch whisky shines through. With A BSc in Distillation, a background in the bar industry, coupled with a love of travel, endless devotion, drive and determination Georgie has made it her life mission to get under the skin of whisky and to spread the word.

As a crucial member of the Bacardi team, Georgie has a key role in aiming to win over a new generation of whisky drinkers around the world with the incredibly strong line-up of Bacardi’s single malt Scotch whiskies.

Aultmore and Craigellachie have, for long, been secrets in the whisky world – two hidden away malts that before now were scarcely found. Both are treasures in the world of whisky for their complexity and depth of flavour – but don’t be fooled into thinking they’re your typical Speyside malts.

Rather, they can be seen as the Beauty and the Beast of Speyside: from the lightness of touch of Aultmore, the beauty, and the robust, muscular character of Craigellachie, the beast and bad boy of Speyside.

Explore these two sides, before Craigellachie even launches in South Africa, and a special bottling from the distillery itself, with Georgie Bell, Global Malts Ambassador for Bacardi.

Variants to be covered:
- Aultmore 12
- Aultmore 18
- Aultmore 21
- Craigellachie 13

- 1 x special bottling
